from journal Cardiovascular Research
I know better than open a debate about safety of Covid-19 vaccines, but there is new study that may help people with cardiovascular disease make an informed decision about the vaccine. The journal Cardiovascular Research detailed information from the electronic health records of more than two hundred thousand people with cardiovascular disease. Dr. Esther Chan of the University of Hong Kong offers this reassurance—that pre-existing cardiovascular disease should not prevent people from getting vaccinated against Covid-19. She says vaccination for this group is particularly important because cardiovascular disease is associated with worse outcomes after a Covid-19 infection.
